    T100TA Sign In Issue

    I just bought a T100TA, previous is work best and perfect, but today suddenly I have an sign in issue which after boot up, there will be a sign in screen which need to enter the password, but after i enter my password correctly, the screen pointer show it keep processing, after a while the screen go black and only can see the pointer movement.

    I have restart many time, but it keep failing to sign in. I purposely try sign in with a wrong password, and very fast the T100 recognize this is a wrong password.

    But when i sign as a guest, it's work! Just as now i'm not the administrator for my T100TA any more.

    Did any one encounter this problem? Has any solution for this?
    If i need to reset my T100TA, will it reset the Microsoft Office License as well?

    Welcome to the forums Hikaru .

    Was this laptop/tablet setup as a MS Account or a Domain Account?

    If this is a MS Account logon, you can try the following when you logon and it stays on black screen while you have the ability to move your and it's still processing, from your keyboard press 'CTRL + ALT + DEL' > Task Manager > Processes (Sort by Name) > Right Click Windows Explorer & End Task > File 'Run New Task' explorer.exe, see if that brings up your Start Menu/Desktop.

    Your Office Key should be presented in the box when you bought the device. Have a look at the T100 Master Help Guide in my signature below to know more on that.

    If it's working great as a guest, then there's a 100% chance your profile has an issue upon logon. Uncheck anything on Safe Mode which is running on startup (right click start menu > Task Manager in safe mode) then normal restart and see.

    If you want to reset your machine, hold shift on logon where you enter the password, restart the system using the menu's to reach 'Advanced Startup Options', Start the system in Safe Mode & on start menu type 'Reset Windows & Reinstall Everything' to reset the system back to factory settings, then try how it works out.     How long have you waited after the startup and entering your admin password?

    It may be that it's in an update mode and it may just need to complete that process before the sign in page pops up. There are several periods during an update where the screen will go black for a while before you'll see a message and spinning dots showing any status.

    I get 8-12 hrs use per charge using SLEEP mode. Warning, NEVER calibrate the touchscreen.
