    Hi guys,

@asus-usa : thanks for your reply, I'im french so I will send a request to asus-france to fix this problem

For the others, for information and mayfe future users which could encounter this problem:
    Model number : T1000TA-DK053H
    CPU - Z3775
Size of memory - 32Gb + 500Gb HDD in dock
    System BIOS number : T100TAS.207
    Windows version : Windows 8.1 32bits
    Location : France

    NOTES :
    - I already fully restored the computer
    - The first time the problem appeared it was when I connected an adaptator microHDMI/VGA to an external screen. It worked perfectly well the first time and the second time it froze the screen. I contacted french technical support and they told me it couldn't be due to the adaptor, but following Abdisson case I think it's hardly a coincidence.. asus USA do you have any feedback regarding this ?

Thanks a lot guys, anyway if we can't fix the issue my computer is still Under warranty. But be aware with microHDMI/VGA adaptators

But be aware with microHDMI/VGA adaptators
Based on poster balthamos issues with trying to use multiple monitors here, Connect simultaneously to two monitors using USB display adapter and HDMI and Abdisson's post that started this thread, there seems to be a possible pattern emerging.

    Hi guys,
I've got the same problem with my T100TA 32gb, 2gb RAM, 500gb dock.

I have first encountered the problem when I connected the computer via microHDMI-VGA adapter (some chinese *edit* I bought on dx.com) to a projector. I just connected it and BOOM! This:
    crash.jpg

From then on, every now and then the computer freezes when not on charger. The probability is much higher when using dock, but sometimes it also happens in tablet mode. It never happens without charger. Mostly it happens when the battery is under 50%.

Did anyone solve the issue or did You just send it for repairs?

    Thanks for this thread!

Artaud, you're number three to report this problem. With three reported it would seem there is a real issue here.

The questions now become are all you guys using the same HDMI to VGA adapter, what cable, what version of video driver, is it the same T100 model, are the display hardware the same, etc., etc.?

Okay, I'll try to be as much specific as possible.

    - My ASUS is:T100TA-DK066H, CPU Z3775

    - Video driver: I'm not sure which is the correct number needed. When I go to the Device Manager, graphic adapters, open up Intel HD Graphics, it says version 10.18.10.3417
The general PnP monitor driver says version 6.3.9600.16384

    - Projector that I connected to: ACER P1206P

    - uHDMI to VGA adapter: This one from dealextreme. Caused instant crash with the projector. It works alright on my Flatron monitor though.

Regarding the cable, I can't find out right now, but if needed, I might be able to dig some specs.

Hey thanks Rick for laying down the questions!

    Hi guys,

Here are some news from me ! I sent the T100 to repair and it just came back today, apparently it is correctly fixed, I will keep you updated if finally the problem persists. Here is what the repair report says :

    Replaced Part: [90NB0451-R00100] T100TAS MAIN_BD._2G/Z3775/AS . I don't know if it speaks to you!

Regarding the crap cable I bought, it was this one : niceEshop Cāble adaptateur Micro HDMI/VGA femelle 1080P ou 720P Noir: Amazon.fr: High-tech . I won't use it again !!

calou... perhaps you should notify Amazon that that particular cable damaged your T100...

Looking at the US version of Amazon for this same device here at http://www.amazon.com/niceeshop-Blac...cro+HDMI%2FVGA

It states it can be used...
... "for all Micro HDMI input to VGA output device."

Now it may be there's a translation issue in that wording but that makes it sound like you plug this device into a VGA output cable/connector and it converts the signal to an input for (micro)HDMI. If this is what it's actual intent is, that won't work for T100 video out to VGA in... in fact I could speculate that since it's intent sends an "input into" the T100 microHDMI, that it may actually damage the T100?
