Random Shutdowns on my t100, battery isn't low
Here's the informations about my tablet that can help: T100TA-DK023H, 32 gb, no hhd, Z3775, bios 207, windows 8.1, Italy, bought something like 1 month ago.
I have this problem with my t100, randomly (usually between 20% and 30% battery, but it happend also at 50%) it turns off (without advice or screens...it just goes black and i need to use the buwer button, i get no error message at the startup).
It is frustrating, also because if i switch it on, it simply does the same thing after few minutes.
-battery is enough
-i don't think it's a heat problem, the problem happens even as soon as i switch on the t100, after it was off for long time.
-on the event log i can see a critical event that says:
Origin: Kernel-Power
ID event: 41
What is happening to my t100? How can i solve this problem?
EDIT: if i put it on charge and use it won't turn off. So the battery is the problem? My tablet is new (1 month) and had not this problem on the first weeks...

Welcome to the forum
Definitely sounds like a battery issue to me - that new, I would try to get it exchanged for a new one...
But you can also check on the T100 FAQ (linked below) as it covers battery calibration.

Thank you, i checked there but i couldn't find anything that recalls my problem, also my battery isn't draining, i don't go from that 20%/30% to 0, it simply shuts off, but when i turn it on battery has the same percentage as before.
Many thread i read in this forum had something to do with battery draining, but in my case battery remains the same.
Is the battery broken to be replaced? Was hoping to fix before send it to be replaced, i bought on ebay and i prefer to fix myself if possible (also i think i have to pay spedition costs or something else).

Support page for Microsoft which discusses the error code. Entering the error code in a search engine may result in some more information... :
Windows Kernel event ID 41 error "The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first" in Windows 8.1
You said the tablet is new and then that you bought it on ebay.... ?

i already went to that link, but couldn'find any answer.
Also i noticed that id event 41 means just that you are rebooting after an error. It is about the reboot, not about the shutdown.
So i checked in the event log and there is an other error just before: id event 6008.
You said the tablet is new and then that you bought it on ebay.... ?
Yes, ebay isn't only used stuff, also shops sell online by ebay. The product is new, bought on a shop passing through ebay 1 month ago.

Two options, go into power settings and try changing them if that does not help, do a system recovery. If neither works it will probably need to be repaired/replaced.

thank you, what do i have to change?

Anything just to see if any change makes the problem better, worse, or the same. Such no sleep mode, a longer one, a shorter one, etc. Mainly we are trying to see if this will affect the problem or not.

Well i did a full system recovery, and the problem persists.
So i think that software problems are totally excluded. That means it's hardware.
To make it replaced/repaired in warranty i have to send it to asus. Do you know if in this operation am i supposed to pay something, like spedition costs (don't have a near asus center)? Or Asus (as i think it should be) covers every money spent?

Hi sgsrecords!
I am facing (almost) the same problem. I also answered in this thread:
Intel Trusted Execution Engine Interface Problem
Last Friday the problem suddenly disappeared. I think its due to uninstalling Windows Updates, which are dated till Oktober, that means I uninstalled all Windows Updates from November. However, what is surprising me is the fact that i uninstalled these updates on Wednesday I think and on Thursday the problem still existed and Friday it suddenly disappeared.
Yesterday I downloaded and reinstalled all existing Windows Updates again and now my T100 is turning off again about every thirty minutes.
I am now going to uninstall these Updates again and hope getting it working again.
Hope this helps.
regards
