The HDD dock keeps disconnecting

Hi all,

today my HDD in keyboard dock suddenly started disconnecting and reconnecting on its own. It is really annoying, every minute I can hear the connecting windows jingle and of course working on hdd files is highly disrupted. The keyboard works perfectly though, even while I cannot see the hdd. Sometimes the disconnecting jingle plays, yet I still see the hdd in windows explorer.
Highly strange behavior.

Did anyone encounter this? Any ideas how to solve it?

I think I have read of the occasional incident of this from others here, yes. To be honest the 500gb dock sounds like a good idea, but in reality most folks who have it seem to be finding more problems than benefits. Battery drain, disconnects etc.

I think your best option will be to contact Asus support as I believe you may have a hardware fault.
