    T100 stuck 'configuring windows updates'

My T100 is about 6 months old and hasn't, until now, experienced any problems with windows updates. This time, however, it has sat there all night with the message 'configuring windows updates 100% complete - don't turn off..'.
What is the best thing to do? Any help appreciated - thanks!

Hold the power button down for 30 seconds then release it.

Then hold the power button till you see the ASUS LOGO window with the spinning dots then release it.

    Report back here what happens.

That's got it active again - thanks. I can now login. Are there any checks or follow up actions I should do?

    You're welcome.

Check for Windows updates again. Sometimes when an update goes wonky, the updates don't really get applied. When your sure you're up to date with Windows, run ASUS LIVE UPDATE and see if it recommends any BIOS or driver updates.

    Windows Update Download Issue?

Hadn't used my t100 in a few weeks.

Went to PC updates and the download circle spirals forever and upon reboot I'm not prompted to install updates so it seems I'm not getting them. Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance, John

I see this sometimes using the metro start charms>settings>update and recovery>Updates...

When this happens I use Windows Desktop>Control Panel>System and Security>Windows Update... and it always works from there.
