    Windows Store and Update doesn't work after Update 1

    Hello I'm new on forum hope this thread is in proper section. My problem is that Windows Store don't work after I updated my T100 with Update 1. There is an info 'Your PC isn't connected to the Internet'. I can't change that. Same thing with Windows Update, when I select 'Check for updates' there is an error Code 80072EFE. I tried to reinstall the system twice, however still same problem after Update 1. Somebody had same issue? Please help me, cause it's really annoying problem and Microsoft solutions as 'Check your Internet connection' are rubbish. Thank you!

    Do a Google search on your subject. You are not alone and there are suggested solutions out there.

    When I had that problem on an Asus ME400C tablet this past week, it was resolved by doing a full reset then reloading all Windows and Asus Live updates. What a pain in the rear.

    FYI - didn't have the issue on my T100.

    I recently read that if you've done any customizations (add start button patch, etc.) to your Windows install or registry changes, then trying to apply update 1 will likely fail and the only way to recover from that is to reset back to square one.

    I searched Google, nothing helped. When I run tablet I press F9 and select option to recover with cleaning all files (is it a full reset?). After that I install all updates. Still have same issue after Update 1. I don't know what to do...

    Yes, a full reset. In charms, select "pc settings", select "update and recovery", then select "recovery", then select "remove everything and reinstall windows". Takes about 15-20 minutes. Then you'll have to spend several hours and several rounds of updating Windows and applying Asus Live Updates. Be patient... there'll be times when you think your PC is hung but let it do it's thing. When it says on the screen "PLEASE DO NOT TURN OFF YOUR COMPUTER"... SERIOUSLY HEED THAT WARNING.

    I just finished whole process of re-installing Windows exactly as you mentioned, all updates installed, no errors. Again, before Update 1 everything worked perfectly, after -> same issues... Luckily I created restore point before updating to Update 1. I don't understand what is a reason, cause Update 1 works properly for other people. Seriously, I'm thinking of selling T100 because without this update I can't update my PC no more in the future, so it's useless... Any solutions? Can somebody help me please?1.png

    That error code you mentioned turns up in a Google Search --- lots of entries - I know you've looked but Microsoft Support may be the best source for help.

    Seems to be an Internet connection problem. Which is highly unusual for the T100.

    Just an idea:

    Have you tried connecting to the Windows Store/ Internet via another network? Like a library, Ronald McDonalds, coffee shop, etc?

    You might have to reactivate windows for update 1.
    Charms bar and search 'see if windows is activated'

    Also try
    sfc /scannow

    in an elevated command prompt (search cmd, right click and select run as adminisitrator).

    That will scan through your system32 folder and correct a whole host of problems. It takes a LONG time to run. Figure a good hour or so to do all of its work. Not guaranteed to work, but it very well might find and fix any file/config issues going on.

    I've checked your a tip with checking activation but my Windows seems to be activated, I tried connecting to other WiFi networks (in my city) but still same problem...
    I will try now this command 'sfc /scannow' hope it'll help. I'm gonna let you know soon if it works.

    BTW. Thank you all for interest in my problem, I'm really grateful for that!
