Felt in the keyboard dock/peeling cushion sticker - docking area coming off...

does anyone have glue constantly on the bottom of the tablet screen when taking it out of the dock? I think its from the felt in the docking are coming off and leaving the glue residue when it moves around..

anyone have this and fixed the issue?

Peeling cushion sticker around the dock port

I had bought a transformer t100 3 weeks earlier. I have noticed that the sticker around the docking port (with the cushion like surface, which I think is to protect the screen when docking) has peeled a bit. It is peeling more and more as I undock and re-dock. The sticker is peeling to show the adhesive gum which stains the screen of the tablet.

What can I do to rectify this problem?
Can I buy those stickers anywhere?
Is it okay if I peel it off completely?
    And, what are they called?

I would not remove them completely until you find a replacement.
The problem is going to be finding a replacement, maybe contact ASUS support.
Otherwise the local hardware store, or sewing center may have something that will work as a replacement.

It's probably some type of felt with adhesive.

One of mine feel off and fortunately I saw it happen and retrieved it. I pre-emptively removed the one from the other side as it seemed a little loose. The center one seems very secure on mine. I reattached with the tiny dot of super glue and now both of mine are on there VERY secure.

It seems like they had only used a little dot of rubber cement to hold them in, not very securely.

Workaround - Felt in the keyboard dock, docking area coming off...

    Hey one028,

I had the same problem. In my case, I reckon it's the screen protector that's catching the black felt along the rim of the dock when the tablet is attached. Annoying. I'm reluctant to remove the screen protector and so I've devised a workaround. I placed two thin strips of plastic over the felt (on the corners where it was being peeled off by the tablet screen). Please see photo below. I know it looks unsightly and it's a pain having to position the tape before attaching the tablet, but there's an upside. After leaving the tape in position for a couple of weeks, the felt seems less fragile and doesn't snag when the tablet is placed into the dock. With a bit of luck, the felt will stay put and I won't have to use the small strips of tape any more. Hope this helps.
