Tablet sometimes turn it off by itself when booting

    Hi guys.

I'm having some problems with my T100. Sometimes when I'm turn it off and then after time I'm turn it on.
When it's booting it turns it off by it self. Like I took the battery from it (Of course it's impossible but that's just the example). After it turn's off I have to wait few minutes till I'm able to turn it on, otherwise it doesn't turn on even if I press the power button.

I have no idea why it's happening. I didn't have the problem at all.
I'm on 226 Bios. I've done all updates available for me. I'm having the 32 Gb model with 500 Gb HDD in dock. Mostly I used docked as I'm using it as a normal computer.

Since the BIOS version is now at 304 I think you will have to update the BIOS and see if that fixes the problem, it will be too difficult to troubleshoot any problems while your BIOS are so out of date

Would that instruction works for updating BIOS on T100 ASUSTeK Computer Inc. -Support- ?

Also my T100's Windows button on tablet doesn't work when it failed to boot and turn it off.

Edit: Updating BIOS, let's hope it will solve the problem.

Hopefully. One of the BIOS updates, IIRC, did address an occasional failure to boot. I had that issue ages and ages ago and it has never presented itself since the BIOS update the claimed to fix it.

Well, I've update the BIOS yesterday with a hope it will fix the problem but no. At the evening I've turn on the T100 and same thing happen.
Maybe that's not the BIOS but a driver or anything like that ?

@damian01211... do you have Windows update or Asus Live update set to "auto install" updates? It sounds like what you're describing may have to do with an auto power off after an update? You might want to set both those update tools to only "notify" you when updates are available, then you control the power on after updates are installed.

Also, why do you turn your T100 off? Why not put it into "sleep" which provides an almost instant restart from sleep.

@up only Asus live Update is notifing about Update's. Windows does the automatically.
I'm turning it off as when T100 is in sleep it's eat a lot of my battery ;/

My only problem with setting Windows update to manual, is that Windows Defender gets an every day update and each time I use my T100, there's a stupid Defender update waiting to be installed.

Yeah, it would be nice if there was a way to set Windows defender to update automatically, but reserve all other updates for manual action. I don't believe there is though.
