    New Windows 8.1 drivers

I bought my T100 yesterday and have enjoyed setting it up and using it. I've also done all of the standard updates that Windows Update has suggested. But there are two I'm not so sure about: 1) Capella Systems - Light Sensor - Cappella Micro CM3218x Ambient Light Sensor, and 2) Realtek - LAN - Realtex USB GBE Family Controller. Clicking Details and More Info shows nothing useful at the MS Dev Center site.

Knowing how driver installation can mess things up, I thought I'd request a recommendation from those of you who are more expert than I am. Should I go ahead with these driver updates?

    Welcome garryknight...

I don't recall seeing any posts about either of those updates having caused anyone on these forums any grief including myself. I'd give your question about 24 hours to see if anyone posts up with issues for either of those.

    Enjoy your T100

I just got my T100 a week ago. Since then I've applied all available Windows & Asus patches/updates. I have not had any noticeable issues; I'm getting great battery life, the device seems to sleep/wake correctly, etc.

OK, thanks to both of you. I'll go ahead with the updates, then.

I've done that light sensor update and I can tell you I've had no trouble. The LAN update doesn't sound familiar so I'm not sure if I've done it, so I'll refrain from comment on that one. I take a similar prudent approach to updates as you though, I usually do a little research before I hit the button. Over the years it's saved me more than a few headaches.
