Brand new, using ASUS Live Update to update bios to 226, getting error

    Hey all,

Fresh out of the box (new, not refurb) 64gb model. After 8 hours of charging, the first thing i'm doing (before installing windows updates) is using ASUS Live Update (which i installed) to install critical updates, etc. It recommended i update to BIOS 226. i agreed.

Now i have a message on my screen that says

    --------------------------
This program might not have run correctly.

    BIOS Flash Program
    ASUSTek Computer Inc.

If this program didn't run correctly, you can try running the program using compatibility settings.

[run the program using compatibility settings]
    [this program ran correctly]

    -----------------------

ASUS Live Update is still open in the background and was still downloading other updates while i stared at that message in terror. It's prompting me for a reboot, but I'm not really inclined to do that until i sort out the BIOS update stuff. Updating the BIOS is literally the worst possible time to get a "didn't run correctly" error, so my first action as a new owner is to come here to see if any of you kind folks have had this happen and what you did in this situation. Google has not been particularly helpful so far.

For now, that's where i'm leaving things with the tablet. I'm just going to sit here for the time being, F5ing this thread.

EDIT : i have NOT installed WinFlash. Should this be my next step?

I went through the same thing but after googling the issue, it appears that the upgrade has an issue which may be a few weeks away from resolving. I sent an e-mail to Asus' technical support on the issue so will post the reply, if and when I hear back.
