Newbie and one dumb question. CAPSLOCK

I wondered if the capslock has an indicator light if it is on or not. I use caps in my passwords and can't tell if It is on...which is what happened when I kept getting an error...It was on by mistake. I'm clutzy on a keyboard at times so I can see this being a problem if I accidently hit it. Thanks.

PS...I just signed up to this forum and saw so much help but not this in particular.
    thanks!

    Welcome to the forum!

I'm moving this to the T100 help forum.

    You'll get more help there.

    No, no indicator light.

For passwords, windows should tell you under the password field (login/unlock only though) that the capslock button is on though.

If using the onscreen keyboard, shift and caps keys do light up when selected. I don't recall if the keyboard dock has any indictors.

The dock doesn't have any indicators. When in desktop mode, you could use this application: TrayStatus ? Binary Fortress Software

It lets you have status icons for caps/num lock in tray.

You can also turn on an auditory notification through the Ease of Access settings. Follow these steps:

    1) From the Start screen, click the Desktop icon.
    2) Press the Windows + U keys.
    3) On the Ease of Access Center window, click the Make the keyboard easier to use link under Explore all settings.
    4) Click the checkbox next to Turn on Toggle Keys.

So you can hear whenever the caps lock is toggled, which could be helpful while typing and you accidentally hit the caps lock key...

While OEMs sometimes provide a onscreen indicator utility, Asus hasn't done so yet for the T100 but they might later as they have done for other models in the past... So, keep an eye out on the support page for the T100... though, it could take awhile but you got the above suggestions to hold you over for now...
