Because in 64gig version recovery partition is located on primary hdd (32gig version have separate read only rom with recovery partition). To tecovery Asus os you can use install.wim from my other tutorial or install clean windows.
Show me your list disk and list volume command result (from diskpart) maybe I can help you

I have been looking for this a while now.. it works fine and the method took some serious thought i reckon, Thanks lots.
I had almost stopped looking and given up on ever seeing a 7 gb drive . Brilliant Work,..
    .
    .
    .
    A Question now ?????
    .
can i somehow keep this drive visible after a reboot ?
i Prefer to see it...and if i can then...
    .
If i leave this drive alone as just drive T but dont remove the letter will it stop being a usable recovery drive? i like to see it in my windows explorer despite not edditing it and i wish to know if ill be safe to use it still if i need to ... or must i remove the letter to make it usable as recovery again ??

    thanks.

Because your 7GB recovery partition is clean and doesn't contain any recovery image

Just assign letter to recovery partition on system drive and copy all files from it to USB key or USB HDD. Then you can clean your system drive and install Windows. After installation, assign letter to your 7GB recovery memory and and copy files from USB drive.

Qther way, if you want to have the original operating system from Asus locate install.wim file in your recovery partition, and copy it to Win 8.1 installation USB key to folder <disk letter>:\Sources ( this will replace the original M$ install.wim file)

Is there anyway at this point to use the 8GB recovery drive as a regular pendrive?

Avisnet: would you be willing to PM or email me the instructions for this? I cannot find them anywhere online. Every post everywhere that contains the answer, points to this thread. I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.
