Touchpad (mouse) stopped working

Jim,
Thanks for the tip. I did know that Fn+F9 toggles the touchpad on and off. In my case that was not the issue. The touchpad stopped working completely. I sent it for repair and they replaced the part.

Fn + F9 is a toggle for turning on and off the touch pad and showing the mouse.

if anybody had the same problem as me where the mouse would show for a few seconds then go, do what i did. I had this problem for hours but figured how to fix it.

when the fn + f9 option didnt work for me i tried this:

click the fourth button along on the top row of the keyboard.

i must of clicked it by accident which disabled my mouse and i clicked it and it worked and tried again to make sure i was right. My mouse works fine now and whoever had the same problem as me, this should work.
