General question: RAM memory 2GB--->4GB extensible? 64bit possible?

    Sorry for these newbie questions:

I am thinking about buying an Asus Transformer Netbook like T100TAF

As far as I found out most of them have only 2 GB RAM memory.
Is it possible to extend this to 4 GB (for every Asus model)?

If it is fixed for T100TAF: Which of the Asus Transformer Netbooks have 4GB RAM memory?

Is there somewhere a side-by-side comparison table?

Furthermore I read that this Netbook has only 32bit architecture.

Are there any Asus Transformer Netbooks with 64bit (and Windows OS if possible)?

    Thank you
    Peter

    Welcome to the forum.

You cannot add RAM. Go to ASUS USA and look at the new Transformer 3 ; Transformer 3 Pro and the Transformer Mini. They might be of interest to you. There should be an option at the Asus site to compare the models.

Also there are videos on YouTube on these new models as well as reviews. A search should lead you to them.

    Welcome Peter

You'd find answers to all your questions if you had searched as the T100 is now "mature"
    However...

    1) RAM is not upgradeable - no way, no how.
    2) You'd need to check the Asus website for comparisons - but you will find a thread in the T100FAQs area that covers the issue as well
    3) Unless you are sticking to a small budget (in which case you'll be pretty much stuck with 32bit) you should look at the T101 & soon to be released T102 as well for 64 bit / larger RAM
    4) Models - and varieties of model - are not always released in every country, so you'll need to research your area to see what is currently available
