    My USB quest continues

    Hi,

In my quest to get my USB port on the keyboard working, which Iím really struggling with, iím after a little technical advice.

When I spoke to Asus UK support the tech guy stated that as soon as you connect the tablet to the keyboard it makes a Bluetooth connection, does that mean that all traffic from Keyboard, touch pad and USB is transmitted that way?

I also presume that the physical connection is only to offer power to the keyboard, is this correct?

As the USB port powers anything I plug in (LED on mouse or usb stick turns on) and the communication between the tablet and keyboard is Bluetooth then I must have a driver issue.

Over the weekend I tried another keyboard and the same problem, so I must be the tab.

    Cheers

I see your identified model# is the TF Book T100TA... if that is correct the keyboard dock on that model does not use a Bluetooth wireless connection but rather uses a the hardwired connection through the tablet/dock interface connector.

I'm not sure why Asus tech support would say otherwise unless you have a different model#.

From a keydock connection perspective, the TAF is the same as the TA.

Assuming it's not a driver issue, I'd suspect you have a hardware problem with either the USB connector itself or one or more of the contact pins within the tablet to keydock interface connector.
