    T100 Keyboard issue

I've had this little gremlin for the past 6-12 months where the mouse would just vanish. After a reboot it would come back. My T100 has always a wobble when connected so i placed some card in the dock holes for a more secure fit but the problem still exists. Sometimes when opening the lid you can hear USB connect/disconnect sound.

Now under windows 10 when i open the lid and have to re-login, I loose the mouse and keyboard!

You're dealing with a chronic 6-12 month hardware issue. You'll need to get that resolved.

I get 8-12 hrs use per charge using SLEEP mode. Warning, NEVER calibrate the touchscreen.

There is some configuration you can check out in Input Devices in Control Panel (it should still be there in Windows 10). You could also troubleshoot with a Bluetooth mouse if you suspect that your USB port is faulty. I guess it could be a bad keyboard connection (if you are using keyboard USB 3.0) but that would need to go to ASUS. Are you sure the mouse isn't flaky with USB 3.0?

So you are talking the trackpad in the keyboard and not a mouse? The keyboard has a USB 3.0 port. The tablet part has a microUSB port. You could theoretically use a USB mouse in either. My money would be on the loose connector if you are only using the keyboard. I don't think cardboard is a suitable fix. If it is relatively close to your warranty period, give them a call and see what they can do. Sometimes they can be understanding and the connector is kind of a weak design link. They might fix it just for shipping charges.

I actually only use it as a tablet because connecting and disconnecting the keyboard can only fail with time.

Yep... that's my modus operandi 99% of the time. And I use the IVSO smart cover with my tablet so it goes in and comes out of sleep with the cover action.

i hardly detach the keyboard. its treated more like a laptop. After a 1.5 years of charging virtiualy every night the charging port is getting loose so im in the process of making it handle wireless charing. Looks like this christmas when its 2 years old, ill get a new 2-in-1 but maybe not a asus. shame really as i love my T100.

Just making sure that for Windows 10 you did install the Windows 10 keyboard drivers from the Asus website. I've not checked the new models to see if they beefed up the Keyboard connector dock. I suppose you could check out the "foldover" 2-in-1s .
