A few days ago, as I wanted to make a USB recovery drive for my T100TA, I downloaded and run ASUS Backtracker to do it.

On the next day, after I factory reset my T100TA, I made another USB recovery drive, this time by using the standard Windows method described in Create a USB recovery drive - Windows Help.

Both USB recovery drives were tested and both can be used to restore the OS to the factory defaults. Alright, but how then can the fact that the USB drives are not equal be explained ?

The USB drive made with Backtracker has a Winre.wim file, on the Recovery\WinRE folder, while the other USB drive doesn't have that file/folder. Besides, almost all DLL files present on the USB drive made with Backtracker are newer than the other one.

How to explain that?
