Here's the link to the Intel product page for the x5-Z8500 SoC... for processor speed, etc. info...

    ARK | Intel® Atom? x5-Z8500 Processor (2M Cache, up to 2.24 GHz)

And the Asus overview page for the T100HA....

    https://www.asus.com/2in1-PCs/ASUS_T...r_Book_T100HA/

Hopefully, this means they'll be on time for release by sometime in Q3 (September)...

im all down for seeing the next transformer book models being released but i havent really found a reason to upgrade from a t100ta yet. the chi series look nice but i dislike the lack of full size usb 3 on the keyboard. that means i have to get another adapter. i wished the t100ta had full size usb 3. i have considered upgrading to the t200 instead since the keyboard dock has the sata connection for a hard drive as well as 2 full size usb 2 and 3 ports respectively.

    i like the spelling mistake; pre-indtalled. https://www.asus.com/2in1-PCs/ASUS_T...r_Book_T100HA/

anyway looks like a nice upgrade but lower res, i dont get it, the way should be up not down, or at least same. Anyway like its been said here, i dont push to the limits my T100TA.

just noticed 9v dc 2a adapter, it must charge quicker...

It's not really lower res, it's still a HD (WXGA) resolution screen like the previous T100 models... They just primarily changed the aspect ratio to be 16:10 (1280x800) instead of 16:9 (1366x768)... trading horizontal pixels for more vertical pixels, for a aspect ratio most people prefer... It's just a shame we aren't seeing FHD screens being pushed for budget range yet... but the HD res screens are better for general battery life, general performance, and costs...

While some may want to wait even longer till next year when Broxton comes out with a Gen 9 GPU, LP-DDR4 RAM, eMMC 5.0, and native USB-C support... all of which is when FHD screens should start becoming the new standard for even budget models... but Intel should update again in 2017 as they already plan a Gen 10 GPU and is when things like 10-Bit HEVC support will officially start for properly supporting 4K blu ray files, etc... along with possibly timing it with the move to 10nm that's due in the 2017-18 time frame...

Till then, we're still dealing with certain limitations that the system has to be designed around...

They removed fullsized usb3 from keyboard and left there only usb2? How impractical is that! I just wished to have upgrade to current t100 with more RAM but without another disadvantages..

There can only be one USB 3.0 and they used that connection for the USB-C port, which has its own advantages and not just disadvantages...

proving our point. we dont _want_ to get another adapter to use our devices when we have already had a full-size usb 3 port on the keyboard previously. this is a downgrade to us users.

You can only squeeze so much into the device form factor and maintain an economical price point too. That's the reality of trade-offs.
