I don't know exactly what the "connected standby functionality" is, where can I check if I have it enabled or not?
Check out these commands to find out http://www.thewindowsclub.com/connec...-state-windows I can't imagine that there would be a problem though.

Hi, here's what my CMD says, it seems that my Transformer has it:

So is the "connected standby functionality" the fast sleep / out-of-sleep functionality? Or is it something else? Thank you.

    Thank you.

I have another question: since the T100TAM gets charged via the micro USB port, can I charge it by connecting the cable to another laptop's USB port (instead into the adaptor)?

Would that work? Is it OK for the battery and all?

Yep. But you will be supplying lower amperage so charge time will be slower.

Is it possible that the lower amperage could affect Transformer's battery life (degrade it)? Or is it all the same as charging throught the adaptor (from the electrical outlet)?

Charging circuits are very smart. You can even use the so called "quick chargers" that charge at very high amperage and the device would only take in a maximum of 2.1.

Thank you for the info. I've read somewhere that if you use hingher amperage that the batter would get charged faster but that this would degrade it's life in the long run.

So what you're saying is basically that it modifies the amperage by it's own merits? Then I'm safe to charge it on my other laptop, thank you.

If you charge it from a USB connector on your laptop, the laptop will only provide a maximum of .5A current out. This is only 1/4 of the current needed to efficiently charge your T100. It won't hurt your T100 but the charge time will take 4 times as long compared to using the stock T100 wall charger.

I understand, thank you. And the battery life won't be affected whatsoever - if I got you guys right. Cool.
