T100 Models have Different BIOS Versions

    Just got a T100-TAM
Installed BIOS version is 205-07/25/2014, Asus Support website says latest is 204-08/18/2014

Didn't see where to change Boot Order to boot from flash drive.

Odd, I just picked one up a month ago and it came with 204 installed. I saw someone else here had the 205 and I was confused as to where they got it. Now I'm more confused, why would Asus have the same tablet with different Bios with the 205 being released before the 204, wonder if there are any differences.

Do you actually have the TAM?
Glad I got this one. The USB 3.0 port on the keyboard dock was able to boot an SD card with WinPE build through a USB3.0 powered hub. Esc-key on power up gives selection of boot devices. I use Macrium Reflect to create images.

This allows the USB/charging port to be used for charging when on the desktop.

Same here, my T100-TAM also comes with the 205 bios version.

You can change the boot order in the BIOS, just keep hitting F2 on the keyboard after you start it. If you see the Asus logo, you're too late . In the bios in the last Tab there's the option for a boot override. Select the device you want to start from. Keep in mind that you may have to disable Secure boot in the bios to start from another device. If you disable Secure boot, Windows 8 won't start anymore. The C drive is encrypted with BitLocker. Without Secure boot it can't find the nessesary keys to boot. You can fix this by re-enabling the Secure boot option in the BIOS.

Just be careful when messing with the BIOS, you may break your T100

At the Asus support download page, the T100TAM model BIOS is currently 204. I have no clue as to why some folks with that model have 205 installed.

You shouldn't feel stuck at 207... a PCs BIOS is determined by hardware within the device... not by a devices model family.

Just suffice that within the Asus T100 model family tree there are several known branches of the hardware... ergo several BIOS branches on the tree.

Newer dated models will typically have a lower numbered BIOS that's all.

Well, it's hard not to as it seems like my Transformer has the battery issues, microSD disconnection and turning-on/rebooting problems that the first models with older BIOS used to have.
Or maybe I had bad luck and got a bad unit.
