    Hard disk replacement?

Hi all, been looking around for this answer and i was wondering if anyone could direct me to a link or better yet answer some questions? I'm thinking of replacing the harddrive with a bigger one that found in the Keyboard of my T100. Does anyone know what type of Hard Disk i can use? If its just a normal HDD, i'm thinking of just replacing it with a 1TB HDD.

I guess the best way to know is to remove it yourself and see. The process seems fairly easy looking at this tutorial. .

After the quick look we can have on the clip, it looks to me that the HDD is a bit thinnier than the standard SATA 2.5 internal laptop drive.

7mm is the standard for the thin 2.5" drives, first developed for Ultrabooks and now devices like the T100 KB dock... Traditional 2.5" drive thickness is about 9.5mm... and you can find both HDDs and SSDs in the 7mm thickness range...

Just make sure you have a KB dock with the HDD already in there because for the T100 the models that doesn't come with the HDD also doesn't have the space, opening in the metal plate, and connector for you to put one in...

Of course. I don't believe that there are any anti-tamper stickers within the dock though, so you are probably safe. Just swap back in the old one if you have to send it in for warranty service.

I've done similar things on other machines (that didn't have anti-tamper stickers) and I haven't been gig'd on any warranty claims in the past.

HOWEVER, most/all have had "do not open, warranty void" warnings on them in the past.
