Exclamation Newer Drivers for T100TA Model

Now i was checking if there were any new drivers for my T100TA. I found two new models with codes T100TAL and TAM. There are some hardware changes here but this is not the important part. I have found that the SOC driver for the TAL is version 112 ?? and installed it on my old TA. Now i can confirm that it works, it even updates the video driver form 10.18.10.3417 to xx.xx.xx.3643. I can also confirm that the video driver has increased performance with one of mine CAD Programs ( i know, they are not lite but they do work). The catch is that i cannot access the video driver control panel. It is installed but not running. This is strange, i know from testing that newer revisions or top products with same or close hardware often can have better driver support, newer drivers and etc. I will try re installing the package and see if i can make it work better. For now i am seeing real improvement in real applications.

There are some newer drivers like touchpad, wifi and others .... let's see

THIS IS THE LINK FOR THE T100TA MODEL downloads/updates:

Huh, interesting. I see that they have 64-bit drivers as well, wonder if it means something is coming in the future. We've been missing all these new drivers too :/

Edit: Installed all the drivers. So far haven't been having any issues, in fact, my T100 feels functionally better.

Makes sense, beside the CPU the chipset is the same?

Update: all Installed and working ok.
Update 2: noticed that screen brightness was very dim....videodriver rollback resolved this.
(Detailled: rolL back to MS default driver, reboot. Install newest driver and again reboot)

Just to report, webcam wasn't working with new drivers, had to roll back. Anyone else can confirm this?

Downloaded and successfully installed all of the latest T100TA drivers:

    G_Sensor_Invensense_Win81_32_VER848617.zip
    WLAN_Broadcom_Win81_32_VER59398207.zip
    LiveUpdate_Win81_32_VER329.zip
    ATKPackage_Win81_32_VER100035.rar
    SOCPackage_Intel_BayT_T100TA_Win81_32_VER112.zip

Webcam, microphone, speakers all work with Skype just fine, as well as some webcam test programs I have. No problems with webcam here. The list above are the specific updates installed successfully here.

The key is to get the right version drivers for the T100TA...as opposed to other models.

Everything else works fine. Just the webcam had to be rolled back. Sure you should be careful when installing drivers for another model but you don't want things to be broken/don't know what you are doing, don't try it. Its pretty much experimental.

Interesting. I didn't poke through them and only noticed the newer wifi driver. Just like all of the others, crunched my wifi hard within about 30 minutes of use. Rolled back to the .168 MS drivers and working fine again. I'll try the newer SoC drivers tonight. Thanks!

The webcam works perfectly here with the latest drivers.

What I did learn is that when running your Windows update, it provided the chance to download and install the OPTIONAL Intel Imaging Signal 2400 driver update. DO NOT choose this option - it disables the webcam as some have reported.

By simply installing the ATK and SOC updates from the ASUS download site with the latest versions (referenced in Post #6 above)...everything works just fine (I've repeated this process multiple times to get back to "everything working").

I can't explain why the Windows update offering for the Intel driver messes up things..but it does...and I have repeated this negative experience multiple times now to confirm it is the source of the problem with the webcam. A re-install of the latest ATK and SOC drivers as indicated corrects the problem.

There is a newer Broadcom WIFI driver that works perfectly here (.207) from the ASUS download site. I have been running it for several days since installation, and at multiple locations...and have not experienced a single problem. Just thought I'd mention it.

Downloaded WLAN_Broadcom_Win81_32_VER59398207.zip, but can't find any setup.exe file, only batch; any suggestion?
