Just an FYI to anyone who has lost one or more of their screen protector bumpers....I took some time and analyzed if my rubber band segment I used to replace the rubber strip bumper was working, it is hanging in there really well without any glue but I discovered that the two bumpers on the left and right sides of the keyboard do absolutely nothing...the screen does not even touch them when closed...the only bumper the screen touches is the one in the center below the touchpad, so unless this one is missing it may not be worth hassle to press or glue in replacement alternatives for the sides.

    Cheers,

They may be there to cushion the shock of "slamming" the tablet and keyboard when closing... I'm not saying anyone would deliberately slam them closed but there is a bit of tension between the two clam-shell pieces that could cause them to slam together under the right circumstances.

What's the proper height for the bumper?

What's the height of the original rubber bumper?

I'd like to get some o-rings or rubber bands, and make sure they are the right size. I can measure the length from the "slot" the old bumpers left behind -- but not the height.

    Thanks.
