It came shipped with the 307 bios.

Edit: Anyone know whats up with most recently added bios on asus support website labeled BIOS 207 (T100TAS)? Is has a lower number then the reset and only has "Update EC" as its description.

It seems that the z3775 cannot sustain 2.39Ghz. I've seen mine peak at this speed, but at 100% load for more than a few seconds it will run at 2.24Ghz.

Could be thermal induced throttling... The max clock speeds are the Turbo speeds and can only be maintained as long as it doesn't get too hot... The actual base Clock is only 1.46GHz for the Z3775...

We'd probably have to wait and see what people report on the T200, which has the same Z3775 but is a larger 11.6" system and thus probably has better thermal limits before assuming the Z3775 is actually limited or just needs more thermal overhead to run at full... In either case 2.24GHz is still higher than the Z3740's max of 1.86GHz...

I'm sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong place. I just joined and can't figure out how to search the forums yet. I just received my new T100TA-C1-GR(S) from Amazon, with the new processor (Z3775). I got the 64GB without the 500 GB keyboard. Is there a thread that summarizes what updates I should allow, and what bios I should have, basically how I should start, etc? I skimmed through some posts that said if you let all the updates happen at once then the tablet can crash. I am charging it fully now before I do anything, as I also read that if you don't that can cause some problems.

Again, please don't yell at me for posting here, as I'm sure this has all been covered at length somewhere else :-). I just can't find it!

    Thanks!

I would be really interested in how well Diablo 3 runs on the Z3775 version, could any of you lucky owners test that and report the results? I would buy this in a second if the framerates are decent.

BTW - ASUS Transformer Book T100TA-C1-GR(S) is $362 on Amazon now.
The 32 GB model is on sale at Best Buy for $349 (in stock in most locations).

Game wise, I'm assuming there really isn't any benefit to the new model since it uses the same GPU? I would think most games run the same with the exception of those that are more CPU dependent (strategy?).

I'm been thinking of upgrading to the 3775 model, but keeping my 500GB dock on my 3740 model and giving the older one to my son, but really only if there would be a benefit to my primary use (gaming).

GPU is not the same. There is around a 12-15% clock speed bump on the z3775 (I don't recall exactly how much).

The question is, what if any thermal throttling there might be. If it can run full out, you'd likely see around a 15-25% gain in performance in games depending on CPU/GPU limitations of the game previously. If there is thermal throttling going on, the gain might be 0-24%, but I'd assume at least a small gain in gaming between the higher CPU and GPU clock speeds.

When will Z3775 with 64GB and 500GB Dock be Available?

I am waiting on general availability of the Asus Transformer T100TA-DB14T-CA with the 64GB tablet storage with 500GB dock but more importantly with the Z3775 CPU. I can't seem to find it anywhere reputable (i.e. Amazon, Newegg, Best Buy, etc). Any word on when it will arrive in US?

I'm so stoked. I got this at Staples for $249 before tax. Deal's dead now, but I'm pretty sure its the updated version! (and I didn't even know there were two!)
