Hey, I live in europe, is it possible it was realesed here before it was in the north america?

Amazon got it to me today, July 2nd. So dont know what that July 7th date was about.

So , what about the new T100 cpu.
Does this thing use more battery or not?

This isn't a slam @beginning... just good advice. Sometimes you need to search "the rest of the internet"...
Intel Atom Z3775 vs Z3740
It says typical power consumption is identical at 1.63W.

CPUboss doesn't always have accurate information. For instance, in their comparison, the GPU clock speeds are wrong for the Z3775. Also the power consumption numbers with processors are frequently wrong. I wouldn't simply take their numbers with a grain of salt, I just would trust that they are flat out wrong.
As for battery run time, I'd expect in short, periodic workloads, like webpage loads and stuff, I'd assume battery runtime would be very similar. The z3775 is likely to use slightly more power, but also finish processing things and dive back to low power modes faster. Under sustained heavy workloads, like gaming, I'd assume there would be a modest uptick in power consumption. Probably nothing too dramatic as we are talking ~25% higher CPU and 15% higher GPU clocks, but you can probably expect battery run time to be reduced by 10-15% at a guess under heavy sustained workloads. However, you are also getting that higher CPU and GPU performance as compensation.
Daily driving, I'd expect no noticable difference and maybe/possibly just a hair better (for instance, with webpage loads, if you are facing more overhead from the CPU than the wifi chipset loading up a page, if the CPU can get the work done faster, than the wifi chipset can also dive to a lower power state sooner).

I was trying to make a point to -beginnings- that these forums aren't the only place to ask a question and as an example, I did a Google search on "Intel Atom Z3775 vs Z3740" and that was the first link to pop up. Of course just because it's "on the internet" doesn't mean it's "true" and further searching is ALWAYS, ALWAYS warranted.
Off topic case in point... some users here have bricked their T100 by using Easyflash.
I can do a Google search on updating the T100 BIOS and the info will say if Winflash doesn't work, use Easyflash or even warn the user never to use Winflash. If the user stops right there and jumps into using Easyflash, they have a very high chance of creating a brick. If they'd have done some more research, they'd have found the over-all consensus would have shown for the T100, NEVER, EVER use Easyflash and ALWAYS, ALWAYS use Winflash. And if Winflash doesn't work... NEVER, EVER use Easyflash because there's another issue keeping Winflash from working correctly.

Just got the Asus T100TA-C1-GR(S) - Baytrail-T Z3775 1.46GHz version from my sister for my birthday. \o/
This thing is awesome. Just wanted to say here that the stock BIOS is version 3.0.7
Everything has been working great so far - only minor issue was that windows updates seems to take forever... many times I thought it stalled/hanged... download stopped entirely many times (download xxxKB; x% complete) ... but eventually I got all the windows updates installed; and I think I had 1 or 2 Asus updates as well.
