I completely understand about the 32 vs 64, in this case, for me, it is a fancy tablet not a PC. Other than a couple 2 or 3 movies and some apps like Tunein radio, not much gets stored on it. I don't think I've ever put more than 9g on any of my mobile devices. I do appreciate all the input though.

OP is listening...and has taken the time to thank people that have responded for their suggestions.
The thread title is New or Refurb....not how much memory do I need.

Personally, the only thing I'd accept refurbished would be an organ. Kidney, cornea, lung...for a tablet and the cost involved?

My post only asked about new vs refurb. Which then got into a discussion of disk size. Which I am now taking in to consideration.

The $50 isn't an issue. I just have seen refurb units that were better than new because they were thoroughly tested after repair, as well as the no hassle replacement warranties

I think a refurbished unit is pot luck. You probably don't know where it came from and what, if anything, was wrong with it. For the difference in price, I would prefer new. I would only buy refurbished if I could not afford a new one.

I have a referb unit with issues that can not be resolved. Having problems getting the vendor or Asus to take it back or replace it. For the price you are quoting I would absolutely go new. I have bought refer things before but never again with a computer. Not worth the hassle.

Dang you all. I started out looking for at refurb'ed 32GB now I'm on Amazon & Newegg looking at new 64GB models for around $340. Though I my look around and see if there's anything with decent battery life in the $400 - $500 range too.

    - See, I do listen. Thanks all for your patience as well as help on my other 2 threads.

You'll be glad you purchased 64GB, new, especially later when you sell it to upgrade.
