How touchy are your T100's HDMI ports

Hello all, I got a T100 and like it quite a bit for the most part. However I find the HDMI port to be incredibly touchy compared to other devices that I use, causing dropped connection with slight movements of the tablet. Compared to my Xoom, Nvidia Shield, and Nvidia Tegra Note tablet, which all seem to have pretty much rock solid connections when used with HDMI. I'm wondering if the port on my T100 is bad. Is it normal for the T100 to be like this? Is it a side effect of windows outputing to a monitor on the fly versus Android doing the same?

Also my battery life seems to be poor compared to my Dell Venue Pro 8... Which is a great device sadly lacking hdmi.

I just noticed the same thing on my HDMI to VGA adapter. The cable moved only slighly and I lost the connection.

    Anyone else?

I want to get my T100 exchanged if this isn't universal.

You should probably try another cable to be sure but it shouldn't be that easy to disrupt normally... definitely has nothing to do with W8... and even AFX's example was while using a adapter to convert the HDMI for use to a VGA TV/Monitor instead of a direct HDMI out to the TV/Monitor...

Will test with other cable today

I just want to elaborate that when I was using the adapter I'm usually thought it was the VGA cable that was giving me the issue, but that wasn't the case. So I have another HDMI to micro HDMI cable to test again with. I don't recall having any problems when plugged into my TV though.

Mine is modestly touchy. At least to the point where I wouldn't want to be using the T100 while also connected to HDMI, at least no more than having it sit stationary on a surface. In my lap, no-no. Anything that wiggles it around more than a tiny amount is likely to cause it to disconnect and reconnect. I don't really have issues establishing the link though and I don't really have a use case where I need it connected over HDMI and in my lap at the same time.

For battery life, don't know what to say. With the display on streaming movies for my kids or myself I get around 13-14hrs of battery life. I am sure if I set it to disable the T100 screen when connected to an HDMI screen I could probably increase that closer to 20hrs, but I generally don't bother, because the battery life is so good.

I noticed this today. My HDMI connection is pretty touchy. Any slight movement of the T100 and the video image from HDMI will flicker and often drop. The only way, I could get it to work without flickering was to set down my T100 and not touch it.

I really like my T100, but so far the most frustrations I have had all seem to be related to the T100's HDMI port. So much so, I'm now starting to consider that buying HDMI adapters and cables was the wrong path to take and I should have purchased WIDI adapters instead. Anyone have any recommendations on some good WIDI to VGA and WIDI to HDMI adapters that work well with the T100?

For WIDI to HDMI, I use a Netgear PTV3000 that works very well.
