[SOLVED] Hdmi connected to tv, touch is useless

    A search delivered no information...
When I connect the tablet to a Samsung tv or a receiver the touch screen responds in a strange way. When I open the photo app just by touching a photo it zooms in and it won't zoom out by spreading my fingers. It just moves the photo in a shaky way.

Other operations in other apps are undoable because of the misregistration.
I'm on the most recent bios, asus and windoes updates.

Does anyone have the same problem?

Works fine for me. I just tested it out by connecting a HDMI micro to HDMI cable to my Samsung TV. Some Samsung TVs have a HDMI/DVI PC operation mode where the HDMI port can be configured to connect to a PC. Some have a HDMI port labeled HDMI/DVI where you should connect to that input. You might want to check on how to put your Samsung TV into the HDMi/DVI PC Mode and make sure you're connecting to the port labeled HDMI/DVI. Putting the HDMI port into HDMI/DVI PC mode is usually done by pressing 2 buttons simultaneously on the remote. You should read on how it is done on your particular Samsung TV to see if that fixes your problem.

Hmm, I can connect my Samsung Note 2 with an HML connector to the receiver which is connected to the HDMI/DVI port on the tv. No problems at all with that.
I'll try another cable to see if that's a solution.

    See if this app helps.

TouchMousePointer - virtual touchpad (on-screen mouse)

it creates a virtual touchpad that might behave better in this scenario.

I made a video to clarify the problem:

    -Edit-
This morning I tried the tablet on a tv at work. No problem here! Glad it's not a hardware defect in the tablet.
So, I'll go and play with the settings on my home tv tonight...

I have multiple Samsung TVs. The one I tested on is a 24" LED TV/Monitor combo model LT24B350ND/ZA. I regularly use it as a 2nd monitor for my Asus Laptop and was already configured in the PC mode operation I mentioned earlier where it was easy for me to test.

I also have (3) Samsung 7100 3D Series models in 46" and 55" sizes, as well as having a Samsung 46" 6050 Series TV, and a Samsung 22" LED TV/Monitor. You can say, I'm pretty happy with my Samsung TVs. If any of those models fall closer to a match as your Samsung TV, just let me know and I'll test it out on that model as well.

We havr a 40LE630 tv. I also tried a hdmi to vga connector and got the same problem.
I also tried to connect the tv to a grounded power outlet, but that made no difference...
I'm also on the latest firmware of the tv...

For the brief time... 3 days... I used a micro hdmi to hdmi cable between my T100 and my Sony TV, it worked fine. I just hit Fn+f8 after plugging in cables and what was on my T100 showed on both screens. I could still use my T100 touch screen normally.

I have the same problem. Using a finger anywhere on the TV doesn't register any touch. Even if I *hit* the TV it doesn't register the touch. I think my TV must be broken....
