This is unlike the adjacent micro HDMI connector - my HDMI cable plugs into that safe and securely, as you would expect really, with no sign of any such wobble.

So the mechanical connection of the power connection feels quite a bit fragile and vulnerable - it appears to electrically connect ok (for power, haven't yet tried it for USB data transfer) - but I don't really have much confidence that it will last for too many insertions/removals.

Is this a fault, and does anyone else have this problem with the micro USB power connector ?

Do your micro USB connector and micro HDMI connector appear to plug in equally securely, or not ?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

I bought my T100 32gb on 2/14/2014 and I too have a flimsy connection for power at the micro USB end.

I bought the 64gb T100T on 02/18/2014. From the first time I tried the micro USB connector, it was a little hard to insert and certainly it is wobbly. It is the only thing about the new T100T that I am worried about.

I'm fortunate enough not to have this issue with my T100. That said, when you look at the price of this device and realize how small ASUS' margins must be and the compromises they have to make to make it that cheap, it's not surprising that you would see a few things like this pop up.

Personally I would have happily paid an extra $100 for my T100 if ASUS put all of it into improving quality control and upgrading the materials etc. But I think they made the right choice. It was a clever strategy to break through the Android/iPad/RT tablet price barrier with a device that runs full Win 8.1. I definitely understand why ASUS made the choices they did.

Why am I worried? Because I like this machine too much and I don't want it to break down for any reason. I am not worried about the warranty. It looks like a very good one.

Hey wobbly guys, first, I'm adding "Post if you have" to the title of your thread, so you can get the statistics your looking for. Secondly, although I don't have a T100, I did have a similar problem with my Galaxy S4 battery charger, and jerry-rigged a solution for it, that you might use with your device. Basically, propping it up to force a connection! Connetion.jpg

I have the same problem, the cable wobbles up/down, left/right and it does not require much force to remove the USB-cable.
However, inserting the cable is very hard, I think it is the pin inside the usb-port that is too close to the side of the usb-port, so I have to insert the usb-cable in an angle.
