I'm fairly new to the tablet world and am a little confused by the BIOS update situation. So here are my questions:

-Are the BIOS updates simply small updates from ASUS to fix issues?
-Does the ASUS T100 not automatically update?
    -Could these be possibly harmful?
-If I download the 225 (most recent) BIOS does that include all of the previous fixes as well?

Also, I'm not sure how to run the update... from looking on the ASUS website I can download the zip files, but I'm not sure how to run them. I've tried WinFlash (as well as I could) and it kept telling me that the file sizes were not acceptable.

    Any (lots of) help?

-Does the ASUS T100 not automatically update? It depends...you can configure your tablet to auto update Windows and ASUS drivers...but BIOS updates require using WinFlash to do them and its a manual process.
-Could these be possibly harmful? I've successfully updated through the past 4 BIOS updates without an issue.
-If I download the 225 (most recent) BIOS does that include all of the previous fixes as well? YES....BIOS updates a backwards compatible, and include everything from the previous versions.

Also, I'm not sure how to run the update... from looking on the ASUS website I can download the zip files, but I'm not sure how to run them. I've tried WinFlash (as well as I could) and it kept telling me that the file sizes were not acceptable.
The files on the ASUS site are typically "zipped" files...meaning they have to be "unzipped" first before installing. You can use Winzip or similar product to unzip these.

    Any (lots of) help?

You can use Winzip or similar product to unzip these.
Or you can just use the built in facility of Windows to open ZIP files...

Any reports on improved battery life / boot times / sleep-drain issues?

Since upgrading, mine has at least been holding its charge while plugged in (although it has not been charging, battery meter is not increasing). Previously, even while plugged into the charger it was draining. I had to do full power off, and then charge it while off.

I've noticed no differences, but I have had no battery problems.

azazel, would you be so kind and post your screen settings? Are they default or have you modified anything?

Live update doesn't seem to catch all of the updates. Go direct to the asus support website to download.
