Another Win 8.1 Tab more or less in the ballpark of a T100 is the Lenovo Thinkpad 2 10. Here is a helpful review:

I think the fact that this review compares the Thinkpad 10 to the Acer Aspire Switch 10 speaks to the fact that this is generally speaking a similar class of device.
I can't remember if I ran across this model when I was shopping for my T100, but this one wouldn't have made it onto my radar. You have to pay over $100 for the keyboard dock, and the MS Office is only a trial version.
But, I could see this one (or perhaps a later iteration of it) making its way into our household at some point. The Wacom pen is a huge plus, and the 8 mp camera with flash looks really sweet, and there is the option for 4G LTE (though I don't think I'd end up availing myself of that). That, and the 64 GB version is on sale right now on the Lenovo outlet site for $306.
For regular price, though, I don't think it would be on my radar.

Be careful, don't confuse the Thinkpad Tablet 2 with the Thinkpad Tablet 10... The 2 is the older, last gen, model with Clover Trail ATOM and only the 8 and 10 are using the newer Bay Trail... The other difference is the higher class SoC they offer, as the Z3795 is top of the line for mobile ATOM SoC range and offers up to 4GB of RAM... Though, the Thinkpad 8 may not offer the 4GB of RAM and doesn't have a WACOM digitizer like the 10 does...

The only Asus model with similar specs is the newer Asus Transformer Book T200... and 4GB RAM means you get full 64bit OS and UEFI FW... The only comparison to the Acer or the Asus T100 is in size and basic usability, but the WACOM digitizer in the Thinkpad Tablet 10 is something most tablets don't provide, while the copy of Office they provide now is the 1 year free Office 365, which is a subscription service version of MS Office... MS has started to emphasize pushing that option over the MS Office Home & Student 2013 version, as they're starting to focus on their cloud based services and it makes sense for mobile devices that you will likely replace/upgrade after a year anyway... at least for most people...

The actual performance difference between the Z3775 and Z3795 isn't very significant to the average user but the extra 2GB of RAM can help with multi-tasking and generally keeping the system more responsive... but the eMMC performance also has to be considered and 64-128GB capacity is preferable for those who don't want to micromanage their drive storage free space... Mind, most budget tablets only offer 32-64GB and the low cost models go lower with 16-32GB capacities... along with possibly less RAM down to just 1GB is the lowest cost models, which makes running desktop or doing pretty much any multi-tasking very unlikely...

The higher end Bay Trail SoCs also tend to start emphasizing CPU performance over GPU performance because they all have to work under a similar energy budget and thermal limits... So there are lots of trade offs to consider throughout the specs...

    Thanks, Zeo!
Lenovo is hopelessly confusing with their use and reuse of various names--Yoga and ThinkPad, especially. I do like this ThinkPad Tablet.

By the by is the TP Tab 10 compatible with the accessories for the TP Tab 2 (ie keyboard and dock)? I would guess not.

The Keyboard dock for 2 is BT... So it's basically compatible with anything that can connect to it and while the 10 hasn't been confirmed, the TP Tablet 8 has been confirmed to work and fit in with the 2's KB accessory...

While, WACOM pens are generally compatible... you just may need to recalibrate for the specific pen but that's fairly easily done on any desktop OS device and is an advantage over mobile OS tablets that may offer WACOM pen usage as well because you can't re-calibrate on Android/iOS... and lack of a pen slot in the 10 makes that consideration mute...
