    Compress winsxs folder

Say hi and contribute with a trick from my so beloved iconia w510.

I built a cmd file with the commands to compress windows's winsxs folder. It is a big one but tou will get 1-2GB extra storage with no effort.

Just unzip and start as administrator. Wait and see the lines passing in the command window; it could take 15 minutes to finish.

Another trick I did not found here...

When using the just keyboard or touchpad you can minimize all the programs of the desktop mode by pressing windows+m or clicking on the right-button corner, but it doesn't work when working with just the tablet and touchscreen.Maybe because the right-button at the corner is too much tiny to be usefull.

So here is the procedure to create a shortcut to make this. I preffer second option, it looks great on the bar.

I think there's an irony here in that we've have at least one user here... maybe more... that sent their T100 back because the screen was too dim.

Hey guys is there any possible way for GPS functionality? If no, then is there any way we can hook our phone's display to our tablet? I know that you can hook the tablet to a tv/monitor with hdmi cable, but is there micro hdmi to micro hdmi?

In this case no, the T100's port is output only. No input functionality.

For GPS, I seem to think/recall that maybe the T100 did have GPS functionality, but I am not positive on that.

Models that are WiFi only rarely get GPS, but WiFi location tracking works and you can always either tether a phone (there are GPS Tether hacks) with GPS or connect an external GPS device via USB or Bluetooth... You'll also just need a map navigation app to use it, which isn't default with Windows but there are increasing options becoming available...

The older apps available to Windows are pretty basic but Nokia at least is going to have their HERE maps app available to Windows 8 soon...

While, there are remote apps that'll let you remote into your mobile device from a PC...

Anyway, here are some example links...

you can create some very useful 2-3-4-5 finger gestures.

The app costs 4$ ithink, but there is a time limeted, full working demo.

It makes the "tablet only" mode, a million times more usefull, at least for me.
    Highly recomented.

    Azazel said this:

Go to the desktop IE (after force closing metro IE11, drag it from the left side down the to bottom and hold there for a few seconds until windows flips the pane around. That will kick it from memory), under Tools->internet options->Browsing History->Advanced you have your page load options.
You probably meant options, browsing history ans then settings?

And are you sure this works as described? When I go back in metro ie, page still reloads.

You can double check to see if it has reverted the setting, but if not it is working as it should.

Some pages have an HTTP flag set to always reload the page, some don't. Those that don't should generally be pulled from cache.

There is also a cache size limit, so if you visit several pages first, older pages will get pushed out of cache.
