No go on the Wifi. Borked this morning and required a reboot when it went down. Back to .168 MS signed driver again. All the other updates seem to be working well.

Out of interest I installed 3dmark 06 to do a comparison between AC/Battery and any difference between old driver and new.

I also had razor game booster installed.

The results were all within 5-6 points of each other, scores around 2230.

That isn't what interested me, what did was this on all 4 tests

Reported stock core clock 1,331 MHz
Maximum turbo core clock 1,333 MHz

So even the CPU test didn't cause the atom cpu to increase its clock speed (well, 2mhz)... has anyone actually measured an occasion where its turbo has been activated?

The tablet had been on all day so I will try again from cold to see if temp was a reason...

I installed all of the updates today.
    No adverse affect seen.
Will do some testing of performance, etc. later today or sometime soon.

Well after installing the updates, I experienced two freezes that required a reboot by holding the power button. The first time it wouldn't come out of sleep and the second time it wouldn't allow me to enter my password after waking from sleep. Ive had this for about a month and never experienced this before. I was just hoping the new drivers would fix my connected standby woes. No dice on that either. I'm really considering a reset and posting to Ebay. I'll reset back to factory with just the updated bios and check my results first.

All updates were installed. Zero problems here. I did find that I already the latest driver installed, like the Broadcom Wi-Fi driver. Perhaps they were updated through Windows update?!?!

Well I actually did a factory reset after installing the updated drivers. I had 3% battery drain last night and I already had the latest WiFi driver. This is the best I've ever seen. I might install the light sensor update but I'm scared to do anything right now.

For clock speed, yes, I see it turbo up all the time when watching for it.

In general I've only been testing it with unzipping, not prolonged workloads. With 3dmark probably what you are running in to is that the CPU is being downclocked because the GPU is under heavy load, keeping things within the TDP.

I notice this with my Envy 4t, which has an i5-3317u in it. Under heavy loads even an hour plus long it'll generally stay at 2.4Ghz almost full time (max dual core turbo), but under something like 3dmark06 after about 20-40s of load on the GPU and CPU, the CPU down clocks to 1.7-1.8GHz and rarely gets above that.

At some point I'll load handbrake on my T100 to test as I am curious long term behavior of the CPU. However, with unzipping very large archives of 500+MB in size, without detailed core load info, it looks like it is staying between 1.5-1.86Ghz most of the time (bouncing around), reporting around 30-50% CPU load, so I assume it is loading one core mostly full time and a second one part time unzipping. A quick run unzipping under the new drivers and it ramped from 500mhz to 1.7Ghz in maybe a second and then in 2-3s it ramped up to 1.86Ghz and stayed there for the remaining 6-8s of the unzip run.

Routine for software to get new updates. In essence...depending on what the updates bring...you get a new tablet every update.
