wifi disconnects when t100 goes to sleep

My t100 WiFi disconnects when it goes to sleep. Just wondering if this is normal.
If not normal, anyone know a fix?
I've tried old & new drivers and looked here and there but couldn't find such setting to have it not d/c'ed while in sleep.
I have not updated bios yet, I have 214.
Bigger annoyance is that it won't connect back automatically when I log back in. I always have to manually reconnect.
    Please help. Thanks

I find it annoying too, especially when I have a large download. I change power option plan to one that doesn't shut down and use the screen saver trick to save power and turn display off

it's odd because on my win8.1 laptop i can go under powermanagement on the wifi connection properties and disable the wifi shutting to save power. however, on this tablet does not have a powermanage tab on wifi properties. I do not know why

Different device, different use of WIN8.1.

Each device has it's own way to implement controls, and with the T100 being new...there will be further updates to provide more configuration options.

That said, turning off WIFI is a 2 second process via the charm menu (right swipe) of the T100.

    Easy Peasy.

Please note this is a very old thread. Read the original poster BIOS was at 214. Perhaps later BIOS updates corrected this?

mmm286... what BIOS are you at? You should be at 307

You're at BIOS 226... 227 was the first reasonably stable BIOS. I suggest you update to 307 though. What does Asus Live Update show for updates?
