Hi all, I also had this happen to me (my wireless driver just went away). My network driver was completely gone. To fix my challenge, I restarted, pressed F2 to enter this BIOS, reset my BIOS to default, F10 saved and exit and it came back.

Very random on why it just went away.

    Interesting....

I know of 9 people now with the T100 and all work with WIFI just fine...in fact, I'd go so far as to say better than laptops in many cases.

What I have seen is a number of other users with settings that have been incorrect or else their routers required additional security settings. Otherwise...your statement is incorrect.
