Any turn display screen off button ?

For example I am downloading something with the tablet I don't need screen to be on but want other things to be running.

Any button of that sort. Or what do you do ?

    Thanks

Minimizing the display brightness would save some battery if that is all or part of the goal.

    you can try this:
Look for C:\Windows\System32\scrnsave.scr. Create a shortcut to this on the desktop. Whenever you need to turn off the monitor without putting the device to sleep, double tap on the shortcut. (Using a mouse will not do as the mouse movement will stop the screen saver immediately and turn the screen back on.

    works perfect on my T100!

On desktop, right mouse button --> New --> Shortcut
    C:\Windows\System32\scrnsave.scr

    Neat trick.

along these lines..does anyone know how to blank out just ONE of the displays while using an extended desktop? I'm using the P2TV3000 and have my xbmc running on the tv. I would like to be able to turn the display off on my T100 without the secondary "monitor" going to sleep as well. Any ideas?

With keyboard docked, it's easy. fn + f8 brings up menu for display choices. Bottom choice is "second screen only"

Without keyboard, bring up charms bar, tap Devices, tap Project, tap Second Screen to bring up the menu.

thanks! I'm familiar with that method. There's also a setting within xbmc to blank other displays. Guess I was curious whether there was some program that allows the single display to blank but wake back up when it detects mouse (touch) input..not a major issue just throwin' it out there

    "C:\Windows\System32\scrnsave.scr"

You're a genius! Been looking for something like this forever. I can use a Google Remote session and have the screen blank before and after!
