Transformer tabs had This issue in the past, for instance my tf700 did it after a few month. My T100 does it too, but I never saw disconnection problem when tilting the device as it was the case for the tf700.
Fortunately it is quite a random issue, give a go for an exchange if it is still possible...
If not, I do not think it is problematic, just get used to it.

Ok, it seems this is a common "problem" to other transformer tablets as well, and I've seen this insightful post with a possible fix.
I am glad I didn't try to fix this myself as I would have tried to bend the metal clamp to a tighter fit but it seems that others have reported that the material will not withstand this and it could break.
I will try the electrical tape fix.

"Listen up, people! After working with dozens of docks, I can tell you that about 70% of the docks fit very tightly to the TF and the other 30% have a gap.

2 or 3 layers of electrical tape taped to the inside of the holder part should fix the gap problem.

    Added by edit.

Do not, I repeat, do not try to fix this with pliers. The metal they use has almost no malleability. Meaning any attempt in altering the shape will result in crack and failure."

My first T100 was sturdy on laptop mode, but I had it replaced because of the keyboard not sitting flat and because of a dead pixel. The replacement, which is the one I have right now, has about 10 degrees of wobble on it. The movement doesn't affect the connection between the tablet and the dock, but it sure is annoying. I was able to reduce the wobble by sticking a layer of duct tape inside the clamp.

Mine does it, too. Always has, for the last month I've had it. It doesn't bother me, though. I figured it was a design flaw, but since ASUS never recalled them or sent any info out on my last tablet (TF300T) with a dock, all is well.

The wobble I have is a little odd and feels like a worn hinge but its just a wider gap at the top of the rear most part of the hinge assembly.
the thing I have noticed is that if I attach a little tape to block the gap I find my dock keeps making the undock sound if its moves just a little so I i assume a little flex is best to keep the dock engaged , in short I think its actually keeping the connection rock solid so I'm happy .

I also tried putting a sticker on the back of the tablet but the same result.. intermittent disconnection , so I'm keeping the wobble. its only noticed as you pull the screen forward while docked , it has no movement backward while using touch screen .

if you want to try it just slide a thin business card at each edge of the back of the hinge an see if you get the same disconnect sounds when moving the screen back and forth .

I'm having the same problem with my T100TA.
The screen wobbles back and forth.
I ordered the fix from Joep Van Wulfen, and hope it will work.

Mine had a slight wobble which really didn't bother me. What did bother me was that when moved back and forth the tablet would make a nasty noise within the mount. I fixed it by placing two very small pieces of Velcro inside the slot on the side that faces the back of the tablet when it is docked. Problem solved!
