You certainly did not. And no one should blame you. I, however, jumped at the opportunity, for the sake of testing for the community-at-large as well as potential new features/optimizations. The negative outcome was always a possibility, albeit not ideal. Still, I should be either able to replace with an RMA or through Amazon, so it's just a temporary setback.

Actually, plenty of OEMs give customers experimental firmware to try and resolve certain problems. Asus has done this for me in the past as well as two other OEMs for motherboard problems. Those situations were temporary and official firmware releases soon followed though they weren't necessarily for the firmware given to me. So while 222 might be in the wild, so to speak, it's not necessarily recommended for everyone to try it. We have no notes on 223 as well, so that's even more dangerous to try.

Yes, I know you're not forcing anyone to flash. I'm just baffled at why you guys are if everything is working ok.

Where did you get those numbers from? I removed the transparent sticker on the back of the device unfortunately.

Mine doesn't have a Windows Logo on it. Maybe there are some minor hardware differences. As far as I understand it, the ones without the Windows Logo are the newer ones.

Zero, like I said before, I was aware of the risks and willing to take the plunge so that others would either avoid or attempt it. No one is making or encouraging you to do it, nor should they.

As with anything, some people enjoy the cutting edge, good or bad. 220 made the t100 stable and reliable, and just like 223 had no official changlog. 216 bricked some t100s, which likely prompted 220.

Just cause you don't want to take the risk doesn't mean that others don't consider it worth it. (Besides, this is my alternate tablet/laptop so I have two other devices to fill the gap during an RMA.)

I got the number from a black sticker on the back next to the Win 8 logo.

You know, the device is still far from being perfect right now. I'd consider it usable since 220 but there is still a long way to go. You'd better be thankful to those people that are willing to flash cutting edge firmware before guys like you can do it savely. As terminator_t100 said, ASUS have been reluctant to post meaningful changelogs anyway.

Damn, I don't have that anymore.

Perhaps this is a lesson learned that updating the BIOS before its officially released may not be a good idea. There have been BIOS versions pulled before.

    Just sayin'

Ironically, and hopefully to make you smile a little in the face of your unfortunate incident... Your nickname now fits you MUCH better!

Yep, fair enough. 216 was pulled though. And many people flashed that.
