Could you detail how you did this?

I am trying to get back to Win 8.1 from Windows 10 and I had a incomplete recovery USB (without the install files, which I stupidly erased when created the suggested stick from this post) but could get the script to run.

I now have a recovery USB (USB-1) created from another win 8.1 system (64 bit system normal i7 desktop) and another USB (USB-2) stick with the winre.wim and script files.

I can't get USB-1 to boot, and when I use the recovery menu inside windows 10 to boot into command prompt I can't get USB-2 to run the script successfuly. It says it can't find certain drives.

Any guidance would be a blessing!

I just sent my T100TA to RMA. Didn't tooke the time to look at the forums and tried to do a Bios update through Asus Easy Flash (from BIOS). Tablet is now dead.

Doe a refurbished T100TA come with the hidden drive with recovery image on it? You can look in the disk manager for an hidden 8gb drive.

If there is none, my script won't help you, otherwise, it may works.

What's the easiest way to get access to "- WinRE.WIM (taken from the recovery partition)"?

Can this be done from File Explorer, command prompt or other?

I see the hidden partition when running MMI, but not sure if creating letter drive will not screw things up.

Ok I got winpe to boot. But all I found was an install.wim on disk 1 partion 1. I take it this script won't work for that?

Finally got it. I had to download the files from EDIT and then alter the disk numbers to suit. Thanks for this!

    Hi.
Thanks for this. I've been looking for months how to recover the recovery partition that I kept on my SSD but that was lost since the 1st time I tried to install Linux on my T100. Yesterday I stumbled upon this thread and successfully recovered my T100.
However, I was wondering if the recovery was permanently recovered (as I understand by looking at the commands of the reinstall.cmd file) or if the recovery only existed while running the reinstall.cmd script.

    Thanks in advance.
