    Should I turn it off?

    Hey guys,

I am wondering if I should turn T100 off. I ask because I left it once in the sleep mode overnight, then went to school the next day, opened it and found out it had only 6 % of battery, even though I had put it in to sleep mode when 90 %.

    Thanks in advance.

Update the firmware to 2.20 if you haven't already. Uninstall Asus Web Storage. It seems to wake the system frequently and run down the battery. You need to uninstall both Asus apps. One is in the Metro app area, the other can be removed from the Desktop control panel / add remove programs.

In addition, after a few charge cycles, my battery life while sleeping improved dramatically. Now it can sleep for 24 hours and barely lose 10%.

I have the same problem as OP.
My battery loses steam dramatically during the sleep.

I got mine from MS Store and I do not have Asus Web storage app or program.

    Try using hibernate:

    http://www.transformerforums.com/for...nate-t100.html

It works for me but I noticed at least once that it hibernated on me when I did not intend for it to. Also, hibernate does not seem to use any battery power at all but it takes longer to wake up. It's like my tablet took a Xanax and woke up groggy :^P

Hibernate will eat up another several gigs of hard drive space. It is easier to turn it off.

I guess it's a matter of preference. If you are concerned about space, that is a valid point. My hiberfil.sys file takes about 1.6GB and cannot be moved off of C: drive. However, make sure you then have hibernation truly disabled. if not, that file will be created and will be using space even if you don't use the hibernate feature at all. You will need to enable "view system protected" and "hidden files" in explorer to see hiberfil.sys. If you are able to see pagefile.sys, swapfile.sys or bootmgr, then youre doing it right. If not, the files are probably still hidden.

For me, I am willing to eat the drive space in order to be able to later continue where I left off, and not have to worry about battery seepage.

I know how to turn hibernation on and off and remove the hiberfil.sys.
your points are valid for your purposes.
for my 64GB 1.6GB is quite small.
    I'll think about it.

It the meantime I'd like to know what eats my battery during sleep. It loses over 6% in an hour.

You should never need to turn it off - that's one of the whole points of both Windows 8 and Bay Trail.

I'm currently on day 4 of my T100 being on without a charge - I haven't been using it much (have used it some) but I'm still at ~60% battery.

There's probably a Windows utility that measures battery usage per task. That functionality is built into many Android devices.
