I use mine almost exclusively as a tablet. The keyboard dock primarily serves to protect the screen when I'm not using it. The only other time I use the keyboard is if I have a lot of typing to do or if I'm using it on a desk, but then the keyboard is really just being used as a stand.

ditto. I'm using this thing as a tablet that happens to have a keyboard, ha. Honestly I think I mostly use the keyboard to brag about the value (and "gaming")

Just for fun, I've added a little poll for everyone on this thread.

We often get this sort of discussion on the various new transformer models, so I couldn't see why you T100 folks should go without a poll.

    Cheers

I use it with the doc attached most often, however I seldom use the keyboard. The doc provides a stand and base so I don't have to hold it up as I would as tablet alone. I sometimes do need the keyboard, so its right there when I do. I really like the flexibility and options of how to use it. Each person will find what works best for them and their usages.

The dock is a great stand, and the touchpad is useless for me. I almost never use in tablet mode (mostly to just show people that I can do it) and I prefer to type on the keyboard unless my hand is already on the screen or I can't read the keyboard.

I would have removed the touchpad and add extra battery in place of it.

I rarely use the touchpad unless I need better precision than I can get with my finger tip. If I had a good stylus though, that may be more useful than the touchpad but it's just one more thing to keep track of.

I have found myself poking at non touch screens and wondering why it does not work

    Thanks for the poll Jeffrey.

I voted 50/50. It depends on the programs/apps used....but both alternatives offer some nice features and advantages.

I've been almost always using with the dock attached. Even with the dock, and with a Poetic case, it is light enough and small enough to carry around easily. And unlike many others, I find the touchpad to be very usable and very responsive even when using two and three finger gestures. Although most of the time if I'm at home or in my office I use a bluetooth mouse.
