Here is a video which shows how you can replace your HDD with SSD.

I'd rather put in 1-2TB HDD. It is nothing but storage, SSD speeds are not needed.

What we need are the pinouts for the connector on the tab. Once we have that, many more things become possible.

Does anyone know the SSD specs used in this video? Vendor/inerface (SATA I/II/II)/size 2.5 etc?

Just in case anyone is confused by the above SSD replacement video - this is simply showing someone swapping the 500GB mechanical drive for an SSD drive in the German market only keyboard dock from what I can see.

Have anyone seen that the keyboard dock with HDD inside is thicker than the standard one?

Could be useful for some in terms of durability, but in general I'd agree.

If that's the case...the USB 3.0 compatible small drives out there can do the trick.

You really want one hanging out the side of the machine while you're out and about?

    Naaahhhh...

But for storage...it does the trick.

Between the onboard 64GB and another 64GB on my microSD card...I carry a ton of photo, video, and other content with me...not even needing the USB external drive 90% pf the time.
