Having worked with more than 20 apps that measure battery life, battery wear, and battery solvency over several years on multiple devices......I have learned than one can't necessarily trust the data that comes out of any of these measurements or reports. I literally have tested 4 apps side by side at the same time on the same device and seen 4 different results. So I have limited faith in their accuracy.

When the TF101's first came out, and for the first year...I did over 340 hours of logged battery tests that helped me validate my conclusion.

Nonetheless...they have some limited value in terms of ballpark information.

Do we know, exactly, how asus tested machine to get the 11h of "battery lifetime when browsing the internet". Most likely the brightness was set fixed? I really dont care about wear level if Id get 10h from it, but I only get 7-8. So id like to replicate testing conditions...

Maybe something like in this review:

Review Asus Transformer Book T100TA-C1-GR Convertible - NotebookCheck.net Reviews

The 2-cell battery (31 Wh polymer) provides excellent runtimes. Our realistic WLAN test (a script refreshes a website every 40 seconds, brightness at 150 cd/mē) results in 10:47 hours for the Transformer.
Maybe somebody can write similar ahk script and so we all can test our tablets in same conditions?

    Battery Indicator stuck at 85%

My battery indicator is not draining. I was wondering how it was 85% for about 2 hours before I went to sleep and i woke up to it completely dead.

I charged up to 86% and started using it without the charger and its now stuck at 85% for an hour again.

Anyone know how to fix this?

Restart the T100 then plug into charge for a few minutes and unplug. That should get things "reset" and working again. Mine battery charging has got hung up around 85% a couple times and restart / unplug / plug has fixed it. Unfortunately I'm not sure why it does this but it doesn't happen very often.

If martian's fix doesn't sort it for you, then there is further advice on this in post#8 of this thread.

I did that earlier and it went up to 91% and got stuck there, I ran the battery down and im doing a full charge now. Hopefully this fixes it. I'll post an update when the indicator turns white

Here is what I noticed. If I charge battery from 30, 50, 60%...it will only charge up to ~27.000mWh, so 10% wear. But if I charge it from 90% I might push it all the way down to 8% wear, which is ~28.000mWh. Still long way from the advertised 31Wh.

Update on my Battery Indicator. It got stuck on 100% battery and was 100% the whole time until it died (funny eh).

Then I charged it while it was dead and it went back to normal. I guess thats the best way to calibrate it.

Not surprised....I've been saying for years that many of the battery monitoring apps simply don't do their jobs properly.
