By going through the thread I understand that Battery Bar may not give an accurate reading of the wear of the battery. It displays 3.5 % wear on my 4 month old laptop.

But it shows 7.6% on my 1 week old T100. Then I checked the battery report generated by "powercfg -batteryreport" and I see that the designed capacity is 30675 mWH and the full charge capacity is 28339mWH.

I have charged it only 5 times and everytime it was from below 15 to 95 % plus. I also charged it for 8 ours for the first time before switching it ON.

Should I be worried about the battery ? (I am not sure if this matters, but I think the battery might be loose as I can feel it moving inside)

My battery report shows that my 100% is 27wH, does that seem correct? I thought it was 32wH?

And I lose 10% in 50 minutes. That would mean I only get about 8 hours of battery life, roughly. Maybe even less. The report estimates 8:43 hours, which is alright but I was expected 10+.

    Anyone else getting similar readings?

    Hi all

I'm having very similar issues after having my T100 for a month now.

Pre 220 and other updates mine would lose maybe 1% on connected standby over 24 hours but now ic can lose 10% within a few hours!

e.g some examples from Windows 8 battery stat:

START TIME STATE DURATION ENERGY DRAINED
    16:54:10 Active 0:04:39 1 % 292 mWh
    16:58:49 Connected standby 1:51:16 7 % 1,920 mWh

    19:59:12 Active 0:47:20 8 % 2,183 mWh
    20:46:33 Connected standby 11:43:37 21 % 5,685 mWh

I have tried killing the ASUS Patch for Touch Panel, putting it into Airplane mode and various others things before going into sleep and nothing seems to make any difference!?

I do. Cant charge it more than 28Wh, reporting ~9% wear. I have noticed similar results from others so I guess its normal

    That's with dock Dare.

Just going to try using the new Intel graphics driver that's on intel.com and shows up when you ask the site to scan for newer drivers (15.33.3.3309) as when I run the following it looks to me like the graphics is the main cause of the drain

    powercfg /sleepstudy

Btw, this might be useful for others and even that hints and tips thread?

To get a real idea of what your T100 is / has been doing when using it's battery right click on your desktop and click New > Text Document
    In that paste the following:

    cd C:\Users\YourWindowsName\Desktop
    powercfg /batteryreport
    powercfg /sleepstudy

then go to File, Save as and save this as battery.bat

Now close those files down and right click battery.bat and run as administrator and the above commands will run and helpfully put the latest reports on your desktop which you can then quickly load in your default web browser which should save running and then searching for the above manually each time when diagnosing these battery issues.

Note: Your T100 is automatically recording all battery information since you bought it so running the above will show previous battery usage. If you want to view current usage when in connected standby I would suggest putting your T100 to sleep as you would normally (closing lid or from charm etc) then running the above after it has been sleeping to get your latest report.

I was wondering if the issue reported here about Windows sleep "issues" might be the problem? The question dare_v asks below is also likely to be a factor.

Oh, and please only post one copy of a post - cross posting breaches forum rules, so the other copy of your post has been deleted. Thanks for understanding

Good question - and one which highlights the complexities of tracking down whatever is the cause of more battery use than is to be expected in any given situation.
