    Brightness Fix

    ASUS T100 by default has a sensor which adjusts the screen brightness according to the ambient lighting.
    If this option is disabled you can achieve much higher brightness values by sacrificing battery
    To do this, goto;
    - Control panel > Power Options > Change plan settings > Change advanced power settings
    - Goto +Display, Click/Expand +enable adaptive brightness and select Off on both Plugged In & On battery.

    You should see the difference straight away. Don't forget to drag the brightness slider all the way up!

    Agree. That works.

    There is no brightness issue with my T100 here at all using this 5-second setting adjustment.

    Brightness Fix

    Should be same premise as Android and iOS devices. Auto brightness is relative to the mean point you set the slider to.

    This is an old thread but people might end up here by google search. So here I go:
    After Creators Update, Windows 10 changed the way Adaptive Brightness works and with our "not-updated" driver for CM3218x such feature stops working. There is no change in brightness with the change of lux read by the sensor because of the new mechanism.
    The quick fix is an Os registry Patch from Lenovo ThinkPad 8 (link)
    I post here the content of the patch in case anyone wonders, here is the registry modification:
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AdaptiveDisplayBrightness\{23B44 AF2-78CE-4943-81DF-89817E8D23FD}]

    I add that ALRPoints is just a set of points for the Automatic Light Response curve that Lenovo produced for their tablets. I find it to work as intended on T100TA, but feel free to adjust it to your needs. Everything you need to know is down here:

    Integrating Ambient light sensors with computers running Windows 10 Creator's update (Microsoft)
