Fear of bricking with 2.16 BIOS
Ok I really like this tablet with the exception of the sleep hang which many have resolved with 2.16. Now that ASUS has taken it down from the site what do you think? Should I wait or do it anyway? How long do you think it will be down for?
I don't want to risk bricking this thing but I definitely don't like the sleep hang issue.
Thoughts?

I had the sleep problem and for me the tablet was really a pain to use. every time I plugged it in to charge when I wanted use it I would have to hard boot the tablet. I did not have any problems flashing the new bios. I had factory reset my device before I updated the bios. not sure if that helped me to not brick my device. I was surprised to see the bios was removed considering how well it has worked for me sine the update.
but yes it would suck to brick your tablet by just updating the bios. asus should get a new bios out soon considering the sleep problem, I would think they should anyway.

I have 32GB I bought for my son and flashed it successfully to 2.16 last week.
Bought 64GB version yesterday for myself and was upset when I saw 2.16 wasn't available.
Luckily, I had saved the 2.16 file on the 32GB version so I used that one.
Had no problems and now have both versions running "bad" version.
Seems to be "good" version from where I sit!
YMMV

I didn't have any issues flashing 216 using Winflash. It seems the people who had issues were trying to use Easy Flash or whatever it is called from inside the BIOS.

I flash it the day it came out, no issues. Just improvements all round for me.

I too was looking to update the BIOS and contacted ASUS Support. Below is the email reply they sent.
Thank you for contacting ASUS Customer Service.
My name is Lily and it is my pleasure to help you with your problem.
For this issue, please keep using BIOS 214, maybe BIOS 216 has a bug, and we removed it from the site.
If your laptop doesn't have a problem, you don't need to update BIOS.
Please just install updates and device drivers for your laptop from Windows Update or on the support site.
Run windows update:
1. Swipe out charm bar and press search, input “control” to find control panel app.
2. Press “System and Security”.
3. Press “Windows Update”.
4. Tick the items that you want to update and press “install”.
(You can follow this way to choose any item you want to update.)

I thought I had v2.14 but it turns out I've upgraded to 2.16. Everything's been stable for me and I do still have the bios file - I'd post it online but I guess Asus must have removed it from their site for a reason right?
Mine's been nothing but great though since the update, no more random power-off/hold down power button episodes for me.

My new T100 has 2.14 and has been very stable. Wakes up instantly after being on charger all night etc.
Am I just lucky?
