I know it was possible to install a hard drive in the TF101 dock even with the batteries but not the TF201, TF300, or TF700.

[HARD MOD] Adding 500 gb hard drive to the dock without losing anything

Without batteries in the book dock there should be plenty of room, but it is all speculation at this point withount further information.
As you can see the non hdd keyboard : as a large metal iron witch here for stability when opened to add weight, they have space to put hdd, even 2.
Btw Asus said that the hdd inside the t100ta-dk005h model or he t100ta-dk007h model is a 5 mm HDD (like the one : Ultra Thin 500 GB Laptop HDD | Seagate) the good news is that ssd exist in that size

Any part numbers known for the 500gb keyboard dock? I don't care about the HDD, I just want an internal SATA or USB interface. If theyre unavailable I'll probably just attempt to modify the original

Just received mine but didn' have time to test it more, i will test this and post more information on few hours, but windows devices manager showed that the 500 gb hdd is not a 5 mm but a 500 gb hitachi 7 mm, it's better cause 7mm hdd/ssd are cheaper than 5mm .
I confirm that is integrated in the keyboard !

    I have DK00H5 (32+500GB).
Keyboard looks the same but it weighs 590g.
HDD is 'USB HGST HTS 545050A7E680 USB Device'
There is no longer a Windows logo under the screen.
Default Bios is 2.14 - first thing I did was an update to 2.20, and i don't have any issues

I wonder what the price would be of the keyboard on its own. Its prob gonna be quite expensive but very much worth it if you want to use your hybrid as a serious media device. I feel this news has caused a rift between me and my current keyboard. He seems less... attractive now

    "USB HGST HTS 545050A7E680"...

So it's got to be hooked up somewhere to the existing USB 3.0 port..

    Found some benchmarks:
