I wish a retail store had a demo so I could test out the portable versions I have of Halo and Unreal Tournament GOTY edition. Those games are older, so if COD 4 plays decently as videos have shown, these two games should play even better.

Also would like to test some of the heavier MAME games like Dead or Alive ++ and Soul Calibur. They play slow on Android.

This of course assumes my portable games will work of my thumbdrive.... They do work on W8 though.

Not quite T100, but here is Halo running on the Venue 8 Pro, another Bay Trail device with the Z3740D processor. Technically, the T100 has a better processor using dual channel ram, so performance should be comparable.

    Thanks for that video.
I had a look on the dell page for this product. Although its not out yet, they have loads of drivers for it, all the intel bay trail stuff. Certainly a lot more than whats on the asus page. Going to try and see if I can resolve all these unknown drivers I have.
Dont want to know the t100 but asus really have been a bit pants. The dell tablet isnt out till the 7th I think but they have everything set up on the support page already

Seems the Dell would be priced significantly higher. I am interested in getting the 64gb model of the 100, but would want to reclaim the 8gb allocation. That should be able to be imported to a thumbdrive so the space be used for games.

Ditto for Office, since 14gb is insane. I only use Excel and Word, so works be nice if you could just install those to save even more space.

Wow, ive gone from 12 unknown devices to 3. I now have sound :-)
The two intel packages seem to have done the trick
Know this is a bit off topic from gaming but, eeek, geez ive just touched my screen and it works! First time since I had it delivered 10 days back.

Gave The Sims 3 a go by request. Works reasonably well.

Where are folks putting the games, since hardly any storage on the device? You can install to micro sd and then swap cards as needed?

I've been using a 300GB SSD in a caddy - the USB 3.0 performance is really good, over 200MB/sec and minimal CPU load (CPU doesn't even increase from 0.5GHz).
