    T100 CHI repeating keys issue

    Hi guys,

When I first got the T100 CHI I had issues with the bluetooth keyboard, where some keys would occasionally repeat itself without being held down, e.g. tesssssssssssssssting 1 2 3. I have been using the Logitech M557 Bluetooth Mouse in conjunction with the keyboard.

Google results suggested changing the Wireless adapter's "Bluetooth collaboration" to fix this. The default setting was "Automatic".
First I set it as "Disabled", but the mouse became laggy and unusable.
Then I set it as "Enabled", which largely reduced the issue, but it still occurs once in a while. Yesterday I had the delete key repeating .

Does anyone have this issue? Are there any other fixes I can do to resolve this? I've also tried re-pairing the keyboard and mouse, and reinstalling the bluetooth drivers.

    Thanks!

Same issue here, but its random enough and not occurring very often that I havnt done anything about a return.

A few times though its a full reboot to fix as the Bluetooth connection drops out and does not recover, leaving whatever key was repeating doing so forever.

Thanks for sharing. Is the wireless router your T100 CHI connects to set on 2.4GHz or 5.GHz? My router can only support 2.4GHz so I suspect that causes a lot of problems with WIFI/Bluetooth interference. For me the repeating key issue happens too frequently to ignore sadly.

It has been my experience that besides interference from other 2.4GHz sources that two BT devices right next to each other, such as the BT KB and Mouse, can also interfere with each other and sometimes turning one off while using the other can fix the issue... If this is the case, though, the mouse should also have some issues but should similarly clear up once the other device is turned off...

You can also try to increase the repeat key delay in Accessibility > Keyboard Settings > Speed...

I'm having the same issue, but I don't think it's the keyboard as the repeating (when it goes nuts) continues if I switch off the keyboard. Most of the time it's just an extra letter or two in my typing.

Let me know if anyone has had an answer from Asus.

Mine's not just 1 or 2 letters but a long string of repeats, around 10-ish usually.

After resorting to using a micro-usb adapter with a dedicated Logitech receiver mouse, the repeating key issues went away, and the mouse cursor movement was noticeably smoother too. No go for the Logitech bluetooth mice then. But not the best solution since that takes up 1 of the micro-usb ports most of the time..

Oh, and as expected the Asus "support" who replied above didn't help in any way, I saw his responses in other threads before.
