    Asus t100HA battery life

Sorry if im repeating the question but i dont find the answer to this. I have only until saturday to change my asus.

For 50% to 10% the battery last a little bit more than an hourand a half. Im worried about that because i dont know if it is an issue or not.

The battery life is around 6-7 hours from 100%, which is not to bad considering at least 2 hour are watching videos. But this drain when battery is at 50% is not normal, isnt it?.

I hope someone could help me quickly and of course could understand my english.

    Thank you all.

I think you are getting some funky readings from the battery meter. How many charge cycles has it been trough? The total uptime is what really counts.

    Thank you.

At the moment 7 or 8 cycles. I know the total time is the real important thing. But it last only 6-7 hours. Do you think it would be better with more cycles?

6-7 hours isn't bad at all. Some will get more, some will get far less. It all depends on what software is installed and how it's being used. If you are having any problem it sounds like it's with the meter app. It may correct itself.

Nobody ever gets the manufacturer's promised battery life. They get that figure by doing one thing and one thing only. This is the single biggest complaint with battery operated devices, be it a phone or a tablet, not just ASUS.

Yes, of course. I said asus because of the post but really is a general problem.

Hope to read other users to compare results with.

It's nearly impossible to get and meaningful information as no 2 systems are configured with the same settings or software and aren't used in the same way.

It is possible to tweak settings and possibly get some extra life. Screen brightness, WiFi and blue tooth are usually the biggest drains but if you eliminate a few live tiles, reduce or stop Onedrive and/or mail syncing except on demand you can get some extra life. Using the "Metro" (built in) apps uses less battery than add-on programs. Edge is another battery sucker unless you apply some tweaks and a modified host file. Also stay away from Chrome if you're looking to extend the battery.
